One important aspect of photography is giving back.  I am honored to be this week’s featured guest photographer on the blog of Phase One’s Capture One Pro software. As is mentioned in the blog post and in the accompanying video, I switched from Canon to Sony last December. All Sony cameras are packaged with a card to download a free copy of Capture One for Sony. I kept seeing people rave about the superior RAW conversion and image quality, especially in the A7/A7r group. At first, I dismissed the switch as too daunting, but I kept attending live webinars hosted by David Grover. We became friends, and I asked him if he thought a tutorial on how to set up Capture One Pro to more closely mimic the Lightroom interface would be useful. His response was “absolutely”. With his encouragement and hours and hours of applying my knowledge of audio recording to making videos, I created the video tutorial on how to make the move from Lightroom to Capture One Pro 8 Easier.
